Genetically modified (GM) foods are becoming more and more common. In fact, it can be difficult to sort out which foods have been genetically modified and which ones haven’t, as the US government doesn’t require these foods to be labeled specially. Common ingredients in many foods, such as corn and soy, are frequently genetically modified. It’s difficult to tell how far the reach of GM food extends, but it’s safe to assume that the effects are unnatural and can be dangerous.
Genetic modification isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. For starters, it’s causing us to use more chemical pesticides.
