Nothing ruins a great day in the outdoors quite like getting attacked by hordes of insects. But unless you fancy the idea of spraying chemicals all over your body, you’ve just got to suck it up right?
With this guide, discover how you can create your own healthy, kid-friendly bug spray that will protect you from insects and the harmful effects of commercial bug sprays.
You’ll need the following:
DIY Non-Toxic Bug Spray
– 10 lavender drops
– 1-15 oz. of witch hazel
– 12 drops of citronella
– 12 Eucalyptus drops
– 12 drops of lemongrass
To make bug spray, you’ll want to get two spray bottles and pour an equal amount of witch hazel into each – split it in half, to be exact. Once you’ve done this, do the same for each of the other oils, splitting the quantities in half between the two bottles.
And that’s it! See? No harsh chemicals or strange processes.
What’s great about this bug spray is that it doesn’t have the harsh smell that traditional bug sprays carry. It also doesn’t feel sticky on your skin.
So there you go! Enjoy the great outdoors without worrying about being eaten alive or bathing yourself in chemicals.
